What is a domain name, exactly?
A domain name is the address of your business on the internet - like yourcompany.com or yourcompany.in. When someone types it in a browser, the internet routes them to your website. You also use it for email ([email protected]), invoices, and trust. It’s arguably the most permanent piece of your business identity.
Why does it matter where I buy it?
We do not schedule a cheap registration price that automatically jumps at renewal. If today’s registrar renewal basis is higher, we level the initial price to that annual basis and show both before purchase. Registry, registrar, currency, and tax costs can still change later.
What's the difference between .com and other extensions?
.com is the global default - good for businesses serving customers anywhere, and the one most people type by habit. Newer extensions like .io, .ai, .dev, and .co can be a great fit when the .com is taken or when the extension says something about what you do. Many businesses own both (yourcompany.com + yourcompany.io) and forward one to the other. We can help you set that up.
What does WHOIS privacy mean and do I need it?
WHOIS privacy can replace eligible public contact details with proxy details. Support depends on the registry and extension. Our quote states whether privacy will be requested or is not supported; it is not promised for every domain.
Can I move my domain over from somewhere else?
Yes. Send us your domain’s authorisation code (also called “transfer code” or “EPP code”) - your current registrar will give you this on request. Transfer eligibility, any term extension, and DNS steps depend on the registry and the domain’s current state. We confirm the supported path before starting. Email [email protected].
How is the final domain total calculated?
The selected domain and term are priced in your storefront currency. Any configured ICANN fee, platform fee, and applicable tax are itemized before payment. A fee is not shown when it is disabled or zero.
