Object storage questions
What does S3-compatible mean?
You receive an endpoint and credentials for tools and libraries that support the S3 API. Confirm any application-specific feature requirements before migrating a production workflow.
Are egress and API requests charged separately?
No. These public plans are priced by storage capacity. Egress and API requests do not create separate usage line items.
How does versioning work?
Versioning is enabled per bucket. New writes can retain prior object versions, which can help recover from an overwrite or a bad synchronization job. Retained versions still use storage capacity.
Is the storage path in India?
The India setup path uses storage infrastructure selected for the India service. Ask the team to confirm requirements for regulated data before migration.
Can I increase capacity later?
Yes. Move to a larger supported capacity as the stored data grows. Review the new monthly charge before confirming the change.
